Holy Panes
Growing up in the South, stained-glass windows were more than decoration. They transformed ordinary light into something sacred, casting fragments of color across old, worn church pews and familiar faces.
For my first chapter, I drew inspiration from those windows and the contradictions they hold: beauty and solemnity, devotion and mystery, the sacred and the unsettling. Holy Panes reimagines that imagery where every color becomes a fragment of a larger story.
Some stories are written within the light that was birthed through darkness.
