Dear Black woman, I love you. I love you because you simply are.

Please normalize acknowledging, honoring, and cherishing your worth for simply being. Your worth will never be dependent upon what you accomplish nor the level of resiliency you exude in the face of adversity. You are not a disposable martyr for any cause.

I hope this poem encourages you to allow yourself to be seen, fully. Freewill is all of our God-given right, but that does not omit the impact our upbringing and conditioning we were unknowingly subjected to as children has on the trajectory of our lives. In your healing journey, you will learn how to reclaim your power and create the life of abundance you desire; if you choose to, of course.

It is “normal” to want to escape from and/or distract ourselves from the pain that has and does plague us on a daily basis, however, the only way to truly heal and live the abundant life you deserve to live is to your trigger(s).

 

I hope this poem encourages you to allow yourself to be seen, fully. Even with all the chaos and pain happening to and around us all daily, I hope you learn to take some intentional time for yourself. You are enough just as you are; own your greatness.
